The Asia Pacific Network of Environmental Defenders is composed of individuals, civil society groups, non-government organizations, grassroots and people’s organizations who advocate and work on the issue of human rights, environmental protection and natural resource conservation.
The Asia Pacific Network of Environmental Defenders is composed of individuals, civil society groups, non-government organizations, grassroots and people’s organizations who advocate and work on the issue of human rights, environmental protection and natural resource conservation.
As of July 2025, the network has 118 members—71 organizations and 47 individuals—from 19 Asia Pacific countries and beyond.
Coordination and daily operations of the network is handled by the Secretariat, which is currently hosted by the Center of Environmental Concerns – Philippines. The Secretariat is also supported by regional and sub-regional core groups in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific.
